Did you randomly win the lottery by email? Unlikely...
Posted by Support Steve on 15 October 2012 12:46 PM

Receiving an email stating you randomly won some lottery is the "chat up line" of what is known as an Advanced fee fraud scam... or 419 scam. This is how it works:

1. Email stating you won the lottery and you must send in your details to collect your winnings

2. It is confirmed you have won, and in order to collect your millions you must pay a fee (courier, bank charges, release fee... etc.)

3. Once paid, you never hear back from the scammers OR they scam you for some more fees "to find out where your phony payment is".

Thats it...
